Start your day by visiting the Charles Lindbergh House and Museum, the boyhood home of the famed aviator. Before Charles Lindbergh became the first person to complete a nonstop, solo transatlantic flight, he grew up right here in Little Falls, fostering his love for aviation. Come and see where a dream took flight by exploring his boyhood home and the adjoining museum. Extensive exhibits showcase the entirety of Lindbergh’s life and his passions beyond aviation. The museum’s guides can help you explore his home, answer questions about the exhibits, and discuss their latest exhibit featuring the kidnapping of Lindbergh’s son.
The Charles Lindbergh House and Museum is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day. Admission is $12.00 for adults; $10.00 for seniors 65 and over, active military, and college students; and free for children under 4 and MNHS members. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time here or in the museum.

Once your tour is complete, it’s time for a sweet treat break at Lindy Scoop, the local ice cream shop named after Lindbergh’s famous nickname. This beloved spot offers a delicious array of flavors, from fun and adventurous options like “Shipwreck” or “Elephant Tracks” to timeless classics like vanilla and chocolate. Whatever you’re craving, they can scoop it into a crispy sugar cone or a convenient bowl. They even offer a lactose-free vanilla option; if you don’t spot it in the display case, simply ask their friendly staff!
Lindy Scoop is open Tuesday through Sunday from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. seasonally.

Next, head over to Linden Hill Historic Estate. This beautifully preserved estate was built in 1898 for the owners of the Pine Tree Lumber Company and their families, and it features two mansions, the Weyerhaeuser (green) and the Musser (white). While the Musser mansion is mainly used for rentals and lodging, the Weyerhaeuser mansion is open during the summer months for guided tours. Tour guides will share captivating stories about the families who lived here and local history. The estate also hosts various events and concerts throughout the year, so check their schedule before planning your visit.
