St. Francis Music Center invites the public to one of the most popular concerts of the year, the St. Francis Community Chorale Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 12 at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 2100 Riverview Dr, Little Falls. Due to Covid restrictions, the concert cannot be held on the campus of the Franciscan Sisters, thus First Lutheran Church extended a gracious welcome to the chorale.
The concert, titled “There’s a Light a Coming!” features the 45-member St. Francis Chorale singing Christmas music—old and new! Among the songs presented are: And the Stars Will Dance, Still a Bach Christmas, Calypso Lullaby, Sing a Song of Merry Christmas and more beautiful music guaranteed to put you in a holiday mood! The Community Chorale is directed by Barb Stumpf and accompanied by Vicki Spofford.
Also performing will be the St. Francis Brass Ensemble directed by David Gouker. The ensemble will begin playing Christmas carols at 1:45 p.m., so plan on coming early! Other St. Francis Music Center musicians will also be featured.
The concert is free and open to all! The St. Francis Community Chorale is made possible, in part, by the voters of Minnesota, through a grant from the Five Wings Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
