American Country Music is heavily steeped in history. Beginning in the 1950’s, a young Sherwin Linton was touring with the Grand Ole Opry stars on scores of shows across the United States. Today, Sherwin; his wife, Pam; and “The Cotton Kings” perform a dynamic tribute to the live WSM Radio Show, which began on November 27, 1925 and became the most popular live attendance radio show in American history, still being broadcast today. Take a step back in time as Sherwin shares the stories of the dozens of Grand Ole Opry performers he has shared the stage with including Roy Acuff “The King of Country Music,” Hank Snow, Marty Robbins, Ernest Tubb, Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, Lefty Frizzell, Johnny Cash, Jim Reeves, Marty Stuart, Webb Pierce, Brenda Lee, and Willie Nelson. Let’s not forget Tammy Wynette, George Jones, Dolly Parton, and many more. In the early 1970’s, Sherwin performed as a guest star on the Opry at the famous Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. Sherwin’s endless list of stories and songs make this an authentic account and tribute to this American art form and the “Legendary Stars” of the historic Grand Ole Opry.
