Christmas 1918 with the Lindbergh’s |
| Held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Since Charles A. Lindbergh Sr. did not seek re-election to the US House of Representatives in 1917, his family consisting of wife Evangeline and teenage son Charles would be spending the winter in their Little Falls home for the first time. Come step back in time with us and visit the Lindbergh home in “1918” as first-person living history characters portray family members and hired workers, and ready the house for Christmas. See what life was like for the family who was so anchored into the political and social landscape of Minnesota history. Come interact and be part of 1918 as you tour the home, talking with family and their staff about why Lindbergh Sr. didn’t seek re-election, then lost his bid for the US Senate, see recent “improvements” made to the house, learn about the recent end of the “War To End All Wars” in Europe, and find out what everyone’s hopes are for the new year of 1919. The gallery exhibits in the Visitor Center will be open and visitors can peruse the gift shop for holiday items where there is a special sale. All visitors receive a special 10% discount on all merchandise for this event. |
