Heirloom Arts Day |
Heirloom Arts Day, which runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., will feature more than the exhibit. There will be informal demonstrations of some heirloom arts, refreshments, and live music starting at 2 p.m. from Len Sharon’s band. Jan Warner will lead two discussions about heirloom arts, one at 11 a.m. and another at 1 p.m. Following Jan’s presentations, Ann Marie Johnson, the museum’s curator of collections, will explain how to properly care for heirloom arts pieces.

Little Falls Dam Festival |
| The best Dam Festival in Minnesota is held annually the third weekend of June in Little Falls, Minnesota at Maple Island Park. The Little Falls Dam Festival focuses on the history and heritage of the Little Falls area in connection with the Mississippi River and the dam, which has supplied waterpower to central Minnesota for over 150 years. Dam2Dam Bike Ride |
The Dam2Dam Bike Ride is one of many local rides this year focusing on the history and natural beauty of the Little Falls area. Follow the Great River Road through Charles Lindbergh State Park to historic Blanchard Dam. The rest stop at the dam will offer refreshments, restrooms and spectacular views of the Mississippi River. Return to Le Bourget Park on Hilton Road past Little Falls Country Club. The Dam2Dam Bike Ride is a great way to experience the Mississippi River and the Little Falls Area. River Rat 5K Run or Walk |
June 15, 2013 8:30am Belle Prairie Park Join us for the River Rat 5k Run or Walk on June 15 at Belle Prairie Park, north of Little Falls. The course is flat and fast, great for the competitive runner and the recreational jogger alike. Walkers are also encouraged to participate. Prize drawings, t-shirts, age group awards, and refreshments are some of the amenities at the River Rat Run. We also host a free ½ mile FUN RUN, great for younger children. This run in part of the BLEND Fit Kid series.

Living History Day - June 23, 2013 |
June 23, 2013 Living History Day 320.616.5421 Learn what life was like for Charles Lindbergh when growing up on the family farm a century ago during the First World War. A costumed character portraying Lindbergh’s mother, Evangeline, will provide insights to her son’s interests in aviation, technology, and the natural environment. Visitors will also have the chance to hear inside stories about the Lindbergh family from Gustav Gerts, who lived in the tenant’s house in 1917-1918, and Mary Hannah Stevens, whose family rented from the Lindberghs from 1906 to 1913. Visitors also have the chance to try their hand and some of the chores young Lindbergh did around the farm. Come and experience the life of an ordinary boy who grew up to do extraordinary things |
