 Teen Poetry Contest at Little Falls Library
Teens are invited to take part in a Teen Poetry Contest at the Little Falls Carnegie Library during April, which is National Poetry Month. Teens are welcome to submit two original poems during April, beginning April 1. All poems will be displayed at the library. The three poems selected as best will win a $50 gift certificate from a local business (winner’s choice). Gift certificates will be provided by the Little Falls Friends of the Library.

 Dinner Theater: Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley

A tragic comedy about three Mississippi sisters who are reunited after the youngest, Babe, shoots her husband in the stomach.  04/08/2014   History Film Series: Birth of Flight: Aviation Advancement and Design
The decades following the First World War saw aircraft designers pushing the boundaries of aeronautical technology, moving the industry forward at a rapid pace. With new commercial markets opening up, it was the visionaries who held the key to success. Film starts at 7 p.m. at Charles A. Lindbergh Historic Site. The Minnesota Fishing Museum presents their 7th annual Fishing with the Pros Fundraiser at the Falls Ballroom on Friday, April 11 with a social at 5pm and dinner at 6:30pm. The event features over 20 professional fishing guides, anglers, and outdoor media professionals who donate their time to visit with guests, sharing their stories and offering fishing advice. The evening includes a social hour, dinner, brief program, silent and live auctions, an activity for young anglers, and door prizes. You can support the event by making a cash donation, provide an item for either auction, become a table sponsor or purchase a ticket to attend the event.  Heartland Symphony Orchestra Spring Concert Series
Heartland Symphony Orchestra’s Spring Concert Series, “Around the World with the HSO” will take place Saturday, April 12, 7:30 p.m. at Charles Martin Auditorium in Little Falls, MN; and on Sunday, April 13, 2:00 p.m. at Tornstrom Auditorium in Brainerd, MN. Concert ticket prices are: Adults $10, Seniors $8, and all youth through high school admitted free.
